Why are the leaves losing their golden color?

Not enough light. Move it closer to a window. In low light, money plants revert to all-green — not dying, just adapting.

Can I grow it just in water?

Yes. Cuttings live in water indefinitely — change the water every 2 weeks. Eventually growth slows, so transferring to soil at 6–12 months is smart.

My vines are getting bare and leggy — what do I do?

Prune back hard just below a node. New growth comes within weeks, denser than before. Use the cuttings to root more plants.
